The (Actual) Big Day
On June 12, 2021, Kelly-Ann Hewko and Derek Robertson came together to marry in the backyard of the family home where Derek was born and raised.
With strict gathering limits of ten people in the midst of another COVID lock-down, they were joined by their immediate families (don't do the math on the number of people in this photo...
we bubbled!)
With Derek's sister Emily serving as the officiant, they said their vows and fought back tears.
Before enjoying a taste of Kelly-Ann's heritage, a traditional Ukrainian meal followed by a backyard bonfire.
It was almost a perfect day, but it was missing the one thing both Kelly-Ann and Derek dreamed about when they imagined their wedding: YOU! Getting to share this special moment with all of their closest friends and family would be a dream come true.
So, on September 16th, 2023 we look forward to finally celebrating with you!
